CRUD F.A.Q. & Tips

Crud Catcher front fender tips:

The rubber "nose" of the fender should be up or behind the fork of the bike. The rubber nose protects the fork in case the forks are turned an extreme amount and contact the fender.

The rubber o-rings that attach the crud catcher are extremely versitile You have three mounting posts under the fender for each o-ring. Choose the post(s) that allow a nice snug fit. You can always cross the o-rings over underneath to opposite posts for bikes with small downtubes.

If you use a water bottle, leave the Crud Catcher on at all times to keep dust off of your bottle.

Raceguard rear fender tips:

During installation make sure the aluminum binder parts are in two pieces in your hand. After selecting the correct rubber shim, insert that in the part that wraps around the seatpost. Then insert the plastic section that connects the fender into the part that wraps around the seatpost. The last step is to insert the aluminum parts from each side after aligning the parts. Make sure the parts are aligned and pointing straight at each other when your tighten the aluminum bolt. Take care not to cross-thread the bolt.

If you are riding a hardtail, go ahead and mount the Raceguard low. We like to place the rearward end of the Raceguard level with the ground. Looks awesome and is highly effective.

If you are on a full suspension bike, keep in mind just how far the tire will come up under full suspension compression. You don't really want contact. Again when you get your location dialed, place the rear end of the fender level with the ground

Crud fender envy:

Sure your buddies will hate to admit envy for your fenders, but when they do just send them to your local bike shop or here, www.crudusa.com.
